This glossary defines every operational term so that members, facilitators, and outside observers share one clear vocabulary.

A1 · Foundational Legal Terms

Term Definition PMB Legal Function
Private Membership Based (PMB) A nonprofit or unincorporated private association whose services and communications are limited to members who have voluntarily joined and agreed to its bylaws. Converts public liability into private contract between consenting adults.
Membership Agreement The signed document (digital or physical) outlining rights, responsibilities, confidentiality, and dispute-resolution procedures for members. Establishes mutual consideration under private contract law.
Data Consent on File (✅) Confirmation that a member has granted explicit written consent for Tribal Loves to collect, store, and use personal data for operational and safety purposes only. Fulfills GDPR / CCPA lawful-basis requirement of consent.
Confidential Information Any data, image, or statement shared within Tribal Loves events, spaces, or digital systems not expressly marked public. Protected under nondisclosure clauses in the Membership Agreement.
Duty of Care The obligation of facilitators and Guardians to act with reasonable skill and mindfulness to prevent foreseeable harm. Mirrors tort-law principles within a PMB context.

A2 · Operational Roles

Facilitator 🌿 Guides education and emotional process; models transparency, clarity, and consent. Manages content delivery; may pause any practice if safety declines.
Consent Guardian 🛡️ Trained, vetted participant responsible for in-event safety, observation, and gentle intervention. Active during events only; reports to Lead Guardian and Ethics Steward.
Lead Guardian 🛡️⭐ Senior Guardian coordinating rotations, radio codes, and real-time responses. May authorize scene pause or event halt.
Ethics Steward ⚖️ Oversees incident reporting, investigation, and policy enforcement after events. Independent of facilitation; reports to Ethics Council.
Operations Lead ⚙️ Handles logistics, venue safety, staffing, and compliance. Non-content authority; ensures permits, insurance, and emergency planning.
Producer 🎛️ Integrates creative, operational, and financial oversight; custodian of PMB legal structure. Final sign-off on manuals, policies, and data compliance.

A3 · Consent Language

Consent A freely given, informed, reversible, and specific “yes.” Silence or compliance ≠ consent. Core ethical and legal principle of all Tribal Loves activities.
Layered Consent Multi-modal agreements: verbal, non-verbal, and gesture-based cues used simultaneously. Reduces ambiguity in embodied settings.
Renegotiation Protocol The structured conversation held after a session to discuss what worked and what didn’t. Required for all intensive labs or partner exercises.
Safe Word / Pause Signal Agreed-upon verbal or physical signal that immediately suspends interaction. Mandatory in all sensual or high-intensity formats.
Aftercare The intentional physical / emotional grounding that completes any deep experience. Required stage of every event.

Consent Red Flag Internal Steward-only notation marking behavior under review for follow-up coaching. Expires or renews after 12 months; never public.
Restorative Process Three-phase conflict-resolution model (Reflection → Repair → Reintegration). Serves as PMB internal remedy before arbitration.
